On Leadership in Nigeria III

By Victor

we have all heard about the spate of political violence (no, let me use the phrase, "brutal murders", for lack of a better description) that have rocked the country in the last one month. you may also have heard of the alleged plot for a possible comeback of OBJ, talk less of the indescriminate usage of that power tool called the EFCC to "chance" people who have fallen out favour with Baba himself. will it be "pessimistic" or "negative minded" to say that a Wise Leader will rise out from under all this smouldering asses? in the next 9 months? if so, for sake of my "near-sidedness", point such a person out. we WILL get a new leader come May 29, 2007, well, atleast constitutionally. OBJ aint coming back thats for sure (?). so who for goodness sake is that man that hasnt come out till now? surely when we say good/wise leader, we are not refering to these recycled looters and gangsters who just cant get enough of savouring the addictive taste of this Power Lager Beer in the notorious Aso Rock Beer Parlour while puffing on Corruption Cigar.
who then? me? you? your uncle? my father? a GCI principal? its one thing to be positive-minded and optimistic, like when sunday oloyede was on the swanston relay team (he was really fast then though, i gotta admit) a swanston boy could hope for a good result, but it become plain naive and simplistic to keep seeing your ship heading for a wall of sharp rocks in the middle of the storm, in the middle of the night, in the middle of nowhere. "stay strong. stay positive. e go better.
here's what i say: PANIC!! But then again, what do i know...
in conclusion:
lets stay optimistic and positive minded
