Income: Which would you prefer?
Imagine you have a choice between earning $50,000 a year while other people make $25,000 or earning $100,000 a year while other people get $250,000.
Prices of goods and services are the same. Which would you prefer.

I just received my copy of magazine (a photography magazine), it is so so cool, 111 pages and less than 10 ads. Why am I blogging About this? Because the content in JPG is all user generated, members post their pictures, the JPG community vote for which pictures should make it into the issue and kapish the magazine is born. The quality of the print is so good and the pictures are magnificent. This is probably the biggest testament for user generated content, I have ever seen. I am so feeling this move. Wouldn't this be a good framework for a Nigerian magazine. I am thinking of starting one culture arts type sha. But its going to be a PDF magazine though, I do not have time to chase the printers about. If anybody out there starts this before I do, I will be willing to contribute hala at your boy.

If prices of good and services remain the same, I think I might choose to earn 100,000.
But then won't the fact that everyone else makes more than 2x what I make inflate the price of things...
I'm more confused now....lol

This is a tough one. How long will prices of goods and services remain the same, and also how long will my salary be fixed at what ever it is? Also, when you say others are making XYZ more or less are we comparing apples to oranges as in are they in the same filed, have the same level of expereince, etc? I will chose more money jo, I be correct Naija woman.
$50,000, because it makes me relatively richer. Your position in society matters.

$100,000 might be my pick, our greeds are insatiable so why go for something lesser?

i'll go for the 50k option hmm just to be safe the 250k is a good one(if youve got a problem just throw money at it...lol)
Erm what about almighty tax
Holding all things constant, I would probably go for the $100,000. At $50K, I would be richer than everyone else, that could make me a target. Everyone will want what I've got and that would spell insecurity.
At $100K, I technically am making enough money to live well and will have the opportunity to make more, all things being constant. Anyway, this was a good question. Really tough, but good.
I'll pick the 100 grand oh. Even though everyone else will be making more money.... I would be able to invest mine to make more too...hopefully.
50k.... it puts me above the average group...will have more things accessible to me...i think...could probably employ the ppl that work at $25k...and using their expertise...can exponentially increase my earnings :-)
oh... checked out the mag...i like it. Will use the CD case idea before the year is up...EXCELLENT idea cuz ive got so many jewel cases that ive been meaning to throw out but havent quite made it to the trash yet
