Of course not. Most of the aid only serves to tie us to them anyway. They lend to us at incredible interest rates, etc etc...
In 500 years of associating with them all we have reaped is sorrow, tears and blood. Until we get our act together and start doing things right, we can only be vassals, and they would do everything they can to maintain status quo.
No, we don't need them.
It is in their interest to keep us down. Look at India and China, the fastest growing economies. They have distanced themselves from the West.
