This was the topic of discussion in my "public issues and architecture" class: so far, because in my prof's opinion, the bulk of this crisis was from the sale of bond securities from shady loans giving by banks like Countrywide to people who could really not afford to pay for them; we have been talking about the collapse of these major financial houses for over three weeks now.
@catwalq, personally I feel your professor is right on the money, but unfortunately we live in a country where folks have not learned to take no for an answer. the saga will continue for a while thought. Grab your pop corn fellas.
