Not On Our Watch...

"One man, finishing his afternoon prayers, was restrained with metal shackles because he had been so traumatized by the bomb attacks on his village that he kept running into the desert, into danger and certain death."
Don Cheadle and John Prendergast's book on the Dafur crisis isn't getting as much mention in the African Blog-space as one would expect. Are we tired of the Dafur conflict? Don is one eloquent brother, heard him on NPR the other day, his speech was seamless.

never even heard of such a book.. but will definetly look out for it..

i do hope the world is not tired of Dafur... because when we turn our backs on conflicts, worst crimes against humanity occur.

Also go to Sudan Reeves, Sudan Watch and Passion of the Present - they have been blogging intensely, on darfur for the past couple of years
